Charlie

I love babies. I don’t think that comes as a surprise to anyone that knows me personally. And if you’ve ever spent more than 5 minutes with me you’ve probably heard me say “If I could have a 100, I would.”

I would. I love ’em. They’re  cute. They’re cuddly.  They’re the greatest. It’s just incredible to look at a sweet little babe and think of all the things they’ll go through and accomplish in their lifetime. It’s amazing. Am I right? And a new mom! Oh, man… The things I could tell a new mom. I think part of the reason I enjoy photography and family photography the most is the instant bond that I have with mothers. We’re all fighting this crazy battle together and doing our best to survive each day.  I can remember looking at my husband and saying “So… they’re just gonna let us go? We’re just gonna go home and take care of this baby. They trust US to do a good job?!” It’s scary. And it’s hard. But man…. the benefits. That newborn baby girl that they let us take home is approaching her 100th day of kindergarten. And the oldest of 3 (not quite the 100 babies I’d love to be the mother to…). She’s smart, confident, extraordinary. All of my kids are. All KIDS are. And that’s what I find rewarding about family photography. I get to experience these incredible kids and watch them grow up before my eyes. I get to see them every few months and squeal over lost teeth, new haircuts or watch them take their first steps. These moments that I share with the families I photograph are so special to me and I can’t tell you enough how much I love them. How excited I am to see you again and catch up with you and your loved ones. How honored I am  that you ask me to share these milestones with you. I am  grateful.

And so… after that. Here’s Charlie. His mom and dad are super cute. They met on a blind date. I love hearing what brings 2 people together. Don’t you? Anyhow, here are a few images from Charlie’s in home session. He’s pudgy and sweet and full of smiles. He has this pouty little lower lip that is so darn sweet. I guarantee he’ll be able to use that bad boy to get himself out of trouble in no time.

I love these images. I hope you do, too.
